My new album, 'Solaris', is out! And what a journey! It started a couple of years ago, while being at home, with a newborn, holding her all day and getting inspiration from that beautiful baby. With the passing of the months, more songs came. Some would start with the lyrics, some with the melodies, or even with the harmony. Some in Portuguese, some in English. Some came as a chant or a meditation. When I put them all together, the main theme was the same. Love. Love in many diferent forms. Love for life. Love for a place. Romantic love. Love for your child. Love of a feeling. Love for someone who already passed. Love. Simply love. Endless love.

"Flowers"

“Flowers”  is the English version of the song “Deconstrução” that was released on Ana Luisa Ramos’ debut solo album, ‘Um’.

Eric Taylor Escudero, writer of this song, circles around the theme of deterioration and a beautiful natural renewal.  Accepting this reality of life gives one hope. The song is upbeat and lovely, with a gentle sense of moving forward.

Ana Luisa Ramos’ smooth voice makes the listener feel reflective, yet contented, full of yearning and hope in the midst of loss.

The Brazilian couple, Ana Luisa Ramos (Escudero) and Eric Taylor Escudero have made St John’s, Newfoundland, their home for the past three and a half years.

The project was recorded at the Citadel House Studio in Lewisporte, Newfoundland.

New Christmas Song

Christmas time

Well, I simply love Christmas. Since always. Maybe because growing up would mean presents, family dinners, Summer (in Brazil), that my birthday was coming, and the happy times that come during this time of the year.  So, sharing my new song is even more special!

“Christmas Time” was written a few years ago, during my first Christmas living in Canada - I was inspired by the Winter, snow, and how the season is embraced here in a different way, just like I used to see in the movies…

I truly hope that this song might bring you the same feelings I have during this time of the year. Lots of love, peace (we really need this in the world right now), hope, and joy!

If you are in the north, hope you enjoy it while drinking your favorite hot beverage and appreciating the end of the Fall and the start of the snow season.

If you are in the south, hope you enjoy it while drinking a freshly squeezed fruit juice (oh my!) and celebrating the end of the year and the Summer arriving! And - wait for me! I am coming home!
